Embroidery design

 Here working on a new embroidery design for a shirt. Now all I need to do is make the shirt so that I can transfer the design and get started. I have not don embroidery in a long time so I am a bit apprehensive about the results.

I seem to be having a tote moment. You see I made a tote and then my mom wanted a tote and now my cousin wants a tote... Well you understand the cycle.

So here are at least 2 of the 3 completed totes that I did a while back.

Fabric Choice

I seem to be getting orders for pouches and purses lately and to be quite honest I am a bit awed by it. I am glad for the orders... but I am still in shock.

I mean someone wants to pay me to play with my fabric... I think I gave a maniacal giggle when she asked too.

Quilt Progress- Quilt Sandwich

If you follow me on Facebook then you would know that I was in the process of finishing a quilt top. Here are the pictures of me putting together the quilt sandwich.

Quilt Back

Adding the batting

Now the Quilt Top... Now my sandwich is complete

 So I put together the three parts: Quilt Back, Batting and Quilt Top. To secure the Quilt backing I used painters tape.

TIP: Do no put the painters tape on the batting... It will come off with the tape

Once finished I pinned the pieces together using safety pins. Then I began basting my quilt starting from the middle outwards.

Today is Thursday, I am doing this quilt for Saturday and my walking foot is not working.

Apartment Decor: Living Room ideas

I haven't done much sewing since I moved to the new place because all I can think on is decorating my space. Trust me I have been thinking of things like paint, rugs, furniture... Well you get the drift. I want something that has spots of bright colors but I'm not too sure if I should ground the colors with light or dark paint.

So I wanted to share my ideas on here and get feedback.

Pattern Muslin Success

Pay no attention to the background mess... I'm still unpacking

So I am not too sure what my size is with these patterns. Depending on the company sometimes my size can range from 14 - 18. Therefore I make my muslin's for the simplest projects sometimes.
