E-Reader Case

Here is another commissioned piece for a case for a Nook. So off I went to go and make a pattern with the measurements that I was given.

If you follow me on Facebook at The Crafters Corner BVI then you have already seen some of the pictures leading up to the finished product.

Lining
I am loving the finished product way more than I thought I would. The interiors are lined in jewel-toned sateen. The interior that you see is lined in purple sateen and the pockets in the front are lined with pink sateen for a more luxurious look. I found the hardest part to be all the cutting and lining up the metallic purse snaps.

Since I was using fusible fleece I had to cut off the seam allowance so that I would not have bulky seams and therefore have problems turning it over. Also I decided to forgo putting fleece on the lining since the e-reader will not come out of it's casing. All interfacing and fleece was cut 5/8" (1cm). But with the iron that I have getting it to fuse to the fabric requires a bit of pressing on my part. However, this often leads to the fleece spreading a bit (as you can see below).

When this happens it is best to just trim the excess away with a scissors (after you have carefully lifted it away from your fabric of course).

What do you think of how it turned out? Are you loving this little carry case and it's colors?
Let me know.
