Today I am coming at you with something that caught my attention. I occasionally crochet to help co-ordinate with my wardrobe and I was browsing to find new easy and quick crochet ideas when I noticed Craftstylish. While browsing I stumbled on a project on how to crochet a rug.
Yes, a rug... Now hear me out. I just never thought on crocheting rugs and when I do I think of someone's old dingy sitting room. When it comes to crochet items I think of hats, flowers, jackets and skirts but not rugs. However, take a look at some of the great examples that are out there.

The best part is that you don't have to use yarn. You can crochet with fabric as well. This tutorial shows you how to crochet your old T-shirts into a rug with an easy to follow tutorial. This can be useful by allowing you to utilize the old and turn it into something different and new, as a pure craft or as a way to help you decorate your home. I am certainly interested because I can use my imagination to craft elaborate color patterns and discover different crocheting techniques to create designs using pieces of new or old T-shirts. You can add as many shirts as you require and an assortment of different colors that you would like as a design. I can see this not only being used as rug, but as a center table cover or as a cover for a wooden chair.
I think that this looks like a fun craft to undertake and is a great way to re-use different materials that are more commonly found around the household. You can use your crafting skills to make something eye catching and dazzling yet simple and unique.
